Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use ai-kit.in, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it. We are the Data Fiduciary responsible for this data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Who we are

What we collect and why

We don't ask for your name, postal address or phone number. Our payment processor's checkout may ask for your mobile number and your payment details; it handles them under its own privacy policy. We never store your card, UPI or bank details, or your phone number.
The legal basis
We use your email and order details to sell and deliver the kit you asked for. You give us these details yourself, for that purpose: a legitimate use under section 7 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We use analytics and advertising cookies, and send marketing emails, only with your consent: through the cookie banner, and by ticking an un-ticked box at checkout. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with the service providers we need to run the shop, each bound by its terms to protect it:
- our payment processor, to take your payment and issue refunds;
- our hosting, database and file-storage providers, to run the website, store your order and deliver the kit;
- our email providers, to send your download link and receipts, and to receive the emails you send us;
- a security service that counts repeated attempts to keep the site safe, using scrambled codes only;
- Google Analytics and Meta, only if you accept cookies (see "Cookies and tracking" below).
Some of these providers are based outside India and may process your data outside India. We do not sell your personal data to anyone, for any purpose.
Cookies and tracking
We use two essential cookies: one ties your download to the browser you paid in, and one remembers your choice on our cookie banner.
If you accept cookies on our banner, we also use Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the site, and the Meta pixel, to measure our ads. Google and Meta may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information from this site, such as the pages you visit, and Meta receives a hashed copy of your email when you buy. You can read how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
If you decline, Google's and Meta's scripts don't load at all, nothing is sent to them, and you can still buy and download normally. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie choices" at the bottom of every page.
Security
Everything you send us travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Our database connections are encrypted, and the keys we hold for our providers are stored encrypted. Only we can sign in to our admin, with a password and a one-time code from a phone. The kit's files are stored privately and are sent only through your own download link.
Your rights
As a Data Principal you may:
- obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased where we no longer need it;
- nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated; and
- withdraw your consent at any time.
To exercise any of these, write to privacy@ai-kit.in. We will verify who you are and respond within 1–2 days. There is no charge.
We are required to keep transaction records for 8 years under Indian accounting law. If you ask us to erase your data, we erase everything else, and keep your invoice and payment records, marked as kept for accounting only.
Withdrawing consent
Unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the link in any marketing email, or write to privacy@ai-kit.in. To withdraw your consent to cookies, use "Cookie choices" at the bottom of any page. Withdrawal stops future processing. It does not affect processing already carried out, or records we must keep by law.
Children
This site is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Grievances
Contact point: privacy@ai-kit.in. If your grievance is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change, and change the date at the top.
